blacksmith. the very term conjures up images of sweaty, muscle bound men slaving away from dawn 'til dusk over a hot fire. swinging massive hammers with the roar of the forge and din of the anvil ringing loud. the truth of the matter is, though, that traditional craftsmen come in all shapes, sizes and genders. their only commonality is their inborn desire to create something from the raw elements. while the realities of life may force each of us to spend our days with time clocks and production schedules, account books and electrons; it is the sirens song of the anvils ring coupled with the scent of the coal smoke (and occasional singed eyebrows) that bind each of us together into what life really means.
the iron rose forge is dedicated to all of those people like me that just don't quit fit into the real world. people like us exist on the fringe of society. living within the confines of "normalcy", but never quite accepting it. we neither try nor plan to change the world from within..............
